The first wrinkles make most of us
want to cringe. It would
be nice, we think, to sit in one of
those sci-fi time
machines to take us back to youthful skin,
at least. That
might not be possible just yet, but
fortunately, there are
remedies that we act on now.
Well,
time machine non-withstanding, science is helping us
find the
secrets of eternal youth, telling us how the body
can
rejuvenate on its own. What better way than to start
with
something as natural as the body itself?
What you eatEveryone
knows eating the right food boosts your health.
But, your skin
needs the right diet too so it can remain
supple and smooth.
Food
high in water content works wonders for a youthful
skin. As do
antioxidants, like vitamins B, A, C, E, which
help fight
toxins like chemicals, which attack and damage
skin. A
multivitamin, too, goes a long way in giving you the
adequate
protection against collagen and skin cell damage
that
accelerate aging.
Some oils are good for youAlong
with antioxidants, you will want to take a combination
of
omega fatty acids to keep your skin supple. A good oil
with
omega acids will help your hair and your skin while
also
providing your heart with protection from disease.
One
of the best sources of omega acids is Flax oil. If you
want to
double the benefits, sprinkle some flax seeds on
your food as
well.
Out of the sunThe harmful,
ultraviolet rays of the sun are your skin's
worst enemy.
Before stepping outside, apply sunscreen to any
exposed part
of your body. Follow this regimen religiously
and your skin
will thank you, especially later in life.
Hydrate
your skinWhen you're thirsty, drinking lots of
liquids helps, but
there is nothing like water to quench your
thirst. It helps
to keep your skin youthful and well hydrated.
And draw out
and eliminate toxins.
Dry skin
has greater chances of getting wrinkled or letting
your
wrinkles show.
In the bottleWhen
you find all this doesn't quite give you what you
wanted, you
can always go to the beauty shelf in your local
store. You
will find collagen and retinal-based face creams
and lotions.
They are known to keep those first laughter
lines and delicate
wrinkles to a bare minimum. And the
vitamin A and copper
creams have shown good results too.
Aging is
inevitable but let it be later than sooner.
